Brownie was born and raised locally in Denton, Texas. Brownie attended Woodrow Wilson (Now Shultz) Elementary School, Strickland Middle School, and graduated from Billy Ryan High School as class president. With his sights set on becoming a mechanical engineer, Brownie was accepted into the Texas A&M College of Engineering right out of high school. While in College Station over 4 years, Brownie obtained his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution, along with a Minor in Business. Brownie was also very active in on-campus organizations including Aggie Gentlemen of Integrity (AGI), and Professional Association for Industrial Distribution (PAID). 

Brownie started taking his real estate courses during his final semester at Texas A&M along with his engineering courses. Immediately upon graduation, Brownie came back to his home town of Denton to begin his real estate career. Brownie has had the opportunity to work in various capacities of real estate in his career. His first year back in Denton, Brownie was able to rank in the top 3 agents who helped community members secure residential leases on the local MLS.

Brownie was shortly after his first year, recruited to join Michael Carter to help grow his newly purchased franchise, Realty One Group Forward Living. Brownie and Michael were able to grow Realty One Group Forward Living to over 40 agents in under two years. Brownie and Michael also worked alongside Brian Heitzman on numerous commercial and development projects in and around North Texas. During this time period, Brownie was able to work alongside other new and experienced agents on various different real estate related issues and challenges.

In 2024, Michael Carter sold Realty One Group, and Brownie joined him in starting GO Commercial or GO Real Estate. At GO Real Estate, Brownie has been leading the residential team, while continuing to represent his commercial clients since early 2025. Brownie has assisted clients from all backgrounds – from first time home buyers all the way to multi-million dollar investment firms. He is always happy to share his knowledge, and take his time to truly focus on a project to understand the best way to approach it. Brownie currently lives in North Denton with his fiance, Megan, and three dogs; Piper, Samantha, and Chico.
